For adrenaline junkies, it doesn’t get better than this. HHUGS presents its most daring challenge yet as we ask you to take on the highest possible tandem jump altitude in the UK!
With almost a full minute of freefall time, you have plenty of time to truly absorb and appreciate your breathtaking experience.
As you fall through the air, feeling the exhilarating rush of reaching speeds of 125 mph, you will be doing it safe in the knowledge that your efforts will be providing support to some of the most vulnerable families in the UK.
Training provided on the day.
Tandem Skydive jump is a type of skydiving where a student skydiver is connected to a harness attached to a tandem instructor. The instructor guides the student through the whole jump from exit through freefall, piloting the canopy, and landing.
The Sky Dive challenge is taking place on June 30th 2018 at Old Sarum Park, Old Sarum, Salisbury SP4 6EB.
A minibus will be leaving from London at 8:30 on June 30th. Transport can be arranged from other areas if there is a demand.
5 hours
£850. We expect at least 50% of the target to be raised 1 week before the Skydive.
Registration fee is £50, this is inclusive of transport and the Sky Dive experience. This must be paid by June 26th 1am for early bird which then will be the full price of £75 per ticket.
About 2 hours, we aim to reach the venue for 7:15
No. Please be on time at the designated meeting points. The minibus will leave at the scheduled times. Please consider leaving slightly earlier than normal to allow for delays.
Our oldest jumper to date was 95 years old – so age isn’t a boundary for us if it isn’t for you. As long as you are reasonably fit and healthy then you should be OK to tandem skydive with us. On the day you’ll need to declare your fitness by signing a declaration form. You can view the form here.
You need to be at least 16 to do a tandem skydive, if you are aged between 16 and 18 you will need a parent or legal guardian to sign to give their consent. Download the form to be signed.
Weight-wise 15 stone or under is the general rule but if you’re reasonably fit and under 18 stone we are happy for you to jump with us. However, just like every other jumper you will be assessed by a highly qualified tandem master on the day of your jump, should he have any concerns about your ability to manoeuvre into any of the required skydiving positions you will not be able to jump. Due to higher operational costs there is a charge for any weight in excess of 15 stone. 15-16 stone £10, 16-17 stone additional £20, 17-18 stone additional £30.
Breakfast will be provided on the morning of Saturday 30th June. Old Sarum Airfield provides plenty of free on-site parking, and has a café on-site serving hot and cold food, with lots of seating inside and picnic benches outside.
We’ll supply you with a jumpsuit, goggles and a leather hat for your tandem skydive. In addition you’ll need to wear trainers or similar sturdy footwear and comfortable clothes. If you are jumping outside of the high summer months or it’s a cool day ensure wearing some nice warm layers and some gloves.
We aim to return home around 5pm.
