Qurbani is the sacred act of sacrificing an animal during Eid al-Adha in remembrance of the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The meat is then distributed among family, friends and those in need.
Qurbani is obligatory in some madhabs, and strongly recommended in others for every sane adult Muslim who possesses wealth above the nisab threshold during the days of Eid al-Adha.
Eligible animals include sheep, goats, cows and camels that meet the Islamic requirements regarding age and health. At HHUGS, the Qurbani is of a sheep which is preferred.
Yes, the meat is fully HMC certified.
Your Qurbani will be distributed amongst HHUGS families.
Our Qurbani is carried out by Euro Quality Lambs here in the UK, who follow the sunnah method and Islamic guidelines throughout the process.
Qurbani is performed after the Eid salah during the days of Eid al-Adha, in accordance with Islamic teachings. Our Qurbani is performed in the UK and the meat is distributed in the UK to needy families.
Donors will receive a text message or an email confirmation once their Qurbani has been completed.
