With Ramadan around the corner, I will be fundraising to raise £1,000 for HHUGS families.

This Ramadan, let’s make a real difference for the disadvantaged in our ummah by donating to HHUGS families.

It’s not just the chair at the iftar table that remains empty when a man is taken away from his household. Life, as they once knew it, is hollowed out entirely now the main breadwinner is in prison.

 While the dates at the table promise to be sweet, the arrival of Ramadan is often bitterly painful for vulnerable and isolated families. As Maghrib descends, families gather together at the table, yet each nurse their separate, unspoken traumas inside. Their plates are half full, but their hearts entirely empty.

By donating Sadaqah, it could provide : 

•For £15 you could fill a child’s heart with festive joy and make them feel valued with an Eid Gift

•For £35 you could remind a family they are not forgotten with a Ramadhan Gift Box

•For £50 you could fill their empty plates with a food pack of essentials or for £250 feed a family with a month of food vouchers

•For £200 you could fill the emptiness of their heart and relieve a family's trauma with professional therapy

•For £500 you could Fill a home with security by covering rent and essential utilities

•For £750 you could Fill the yearning of a Child’s heart by supporting their physical and emotional well-being.

•For £1000 you Fill a future with bright opportunities by helping her gain independence through education, driving lessons and vocational training

•For £2000 you can Fill her heart with freedom of debt by relieving a single mother of debts she cannot pay.
