Sponsor me as I take part in the Race to Jannah for HHUGS and Nakheel Women’s Group!
This year, Nakheel Women's Group have partnered with HHUGS Charity to raise funds this Ramadhan. I'm one of a blessed group of competitors striving to raise £1,000 for both organisations, working here in the UK.
Funds raised from this challenge will be split between HHUGS and Nakheel Women's Group, with
HHUGS receiving 65% of the funds you donate and Nakheel 35%, giving you the opportunity to support two fantastic community projects at once!
Nakheel Women’s Group is one of the only female-led community based organisations that provides a holistic programme for sisters. As well as providing sisters with a space to learn, Nakheel aims to build sisterhood, provide tarbiyyah and develop firmly grounded sisters, the nurturers of generations. For the past few years, Nakheel has been successfully running regular classes, seminars and projects whilst catering for the needs of mothers by providing crèche facilities.
HHUGS is the only UK registered charity
embracing and empowering families impacted by counter terror detention and national security measures in the UK. Since 2001,
over 4500 households have seen their lives shattered. For every arrest, a home has been raided and ravaged and a family has suffered the loss of a loved one: a breadwinner, a beloved husband, a devoted father, an attentive son. These are homes where life will never be the same again.
Accustomed to a life of social distancing long before the pandemic, now they are more isolated than ever. Children, who are no better off than orphans; single mothers wrestling with extreme stress; and elderly parents ostracised by their communities are struggling to cope. They are in desperate need of being reached out to, just as we too are in desperate need of His Mercy.
For His Sake, embrace the oppressed this Ramadhan, for there is no veil between Allah and their prayers.
‘Verily, Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who love each other for the sake of My glory? Today, I will Shelter them in My Shade on a Day when there is no shade but Mine’
