This August Sara and I will be taking part in the Box Hill Sisters Trek to raise crucial funds for HHUGS' children – a very much needed cause right here in the UK.

The trauma of a father arrested and in prison. The sadness of a family broken and ostracised. The pain of bullying from the previous school year. These are the horrors Ahmad will be carrying inside of him, on that dreaded first day. Adding to it all might be the shame of wearing an ill-fitting school uniform and old shoes that are hard to walk in. Such signs of poverty will mark Ahmad out for further torment from his peers …unless you can help.

For children like Ahmad, a new uniform and a smart pair of kicks could mean the difference between standing tall in front of their peers and shying from everyone with embarrassment.
