On behalf of all the families we support, the trustees, staff and volunteers at HHUGS, we wish a warm and joyous Eid Mubarak to you and your family! TaqabbalAllahu minna wa minkum. May Allah accept our prayers, fasting and charity as well as all the sacrifices during this month for His sake and elevate your rank as a result. Ameen.
We thank you for your inspirational support and kind donations this Ramadhan. Due to your generosity, the burdens of our children growing up without their baba have been lightened. You have helped to clear their debts and bills, allowed them to eat well with food packs for Iftar, and brightened their faces with gifts and surprises during this joyful time. Thanks to you, children like Hana have wiped their tears and smiled again, on receiving Ramadhan and Eid gifts, celebrating Eid with the community and enjoying the day, like other children their age. Thanks to you, families have been united with their loved ones in this special month and on this blessed day. Thanks to you, they’ve been reminded that they are not alone.
“The children felt special after receiving Eid gifts from HHUGS and attending their Eid parties. We finally started to feel more normal, like there were some people who weren’t afraid to associate with us. HHUGS saw us as human beings, not as criminals and terrorists.
They treated us as part of the Ummah.”
We also would like to express our gratitude to our supporters for you participation in our Race to Jannah campaign, enabling us to raise a total over £66k to help the vulnerable in our community this Eid and beyond! Due to your efforts, the hearts of our families are filled with gratitude as our community has proven, through working together, that they can feel valued once more.
“On Eid they sent us a box of gifts which had little presents and Surayah was so happy, I cannot express what her happiness did for me. She was asking, ‘Who is HHUGS?’ and I said, ‘they are our helpers in Islam.’”
We pray that Allah causes these deeds to be a light and intercessor for you on a Day that will be filled with darkness, making heavy your scale of deeds and being the means of you entering Jannatul-Firdaws, Ameen.
