Supporting HHUGS

Every pound raised in taking part in this challenge will allow us to support some of the most isolated families in the UK, vulnerable women, children and the elderly, who have been ostracised and stigmatised by society. HHUGS is the only registered charity supporting 185 families – over 400 individuals – affected by the arrest of a loved one.

With the past Ramadhan not generating the level of funds anticipated,  we now find ourselves with only 4 months non zakah-funds remaining. Without further assistance, we won't be able to extend the current provision to all who need our help. Without your support, we may cease to operate.

By taking part in the Zip World Velocity Challenge, you can help HHUGS help families who have no one else to turn to, and allow us to continue and expand our unique services to the increasing number of families impacted by detention.

A great way to start fundraising is to set up an online sponsorship page which you can share with your contacts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat SMS, E-mail, WhatsApp broadcast etc. Fundraising pages are just like paper sponsorship forms, except they're online, so you don't have to worry about dealing with cash, cheques and chasing sponsors after the event is finished. Or why not create your own fundraising team to help you spread the word!.

To create your page, visit or Click on Make Your Page. Search and select HHUGS. Follow the simple step-by-step instructions. Share it with others easily via email, Facebook, twitter, text.

- Why not set up a text code too so that your friends and family can donate towards your walk with a simple SMS! Follow this link for instructions Setting Up Yyour Text Ccode. Once you have made your page don't forget to send us the link by emailing· Contact your local mosque or circle to support you by making an announcement of the event and help you to fundraise.

- Get your ISOC, School, Scouts groups and others to get involved.· Use our Sponsorship Form to help you raise funds· Use Facebook to promote your walk, through status updates, posting photos during the walk, making videos, sending messages and creating groups and event pages to encourage others to attend!
