Eid Mubarak from hhugs

On behalf of all the families we support, the staff and volunteers at HHUGS, we wish a warm and joyous Eid Mubarak to you and your family! TaqabalAllahu minna wa minkum. May Allah accept our siyam, qiyam, sadaqah and sacrifices during this month for His sake and elevate your rank as a result. Ameen.

We thank you for your inspiratonal support and kind donations this Ramadhan. Due to your generosity, you have given beneficiary families the opportunity to partake in and receive the mercy and blessings of this month and Eid too. With the beautiful unity of the Ummah, the burdens of our elders has been lightened, you have helped to clear their debts and bills, allowed them to eat well with food packs for Iftar, and gain the benefits of gifts and surprises during this joyful time.

Thanks to you, children have wiped their tears and smiled again, on receiving Ramadhan and Eid gifts, celebrating Eid with the community and enjoying the day, like other children their age. Thanks to you, families have been united with their loved ones in this special month and on this blessed day. Thanks to you, they’ve been reminded that they are not alone.

We also would like to express our gratitude to our supporters for you participation in our Race to Jannah campaign, enabling us to raise a total of £ to help the vulnerable in our community this Eid and beyond! Due to your efforts, our families feel supported and empowered, their hearts filled with gratitude as our community has proven, through working together, showing love, and inclusivity, that our forgotten families can feel valued once more.

“The Eid parties, the presents - it's made me feel as though 'I'm not alone. You get together with other families and it makes you realise it’s not only you going through that struggle. It’s like they’re family, they are a part of us and we are a part of them. My children were so happy to see me happy and smiling.”

We pray Allah causes these deeds to be a light and intercessor for you on a Day that will be filled with darkness, making heavy your scale of deeds and being the means of you entering Jannatul-Firdaws, Ameen.

“Eid is not for the one who wears new clothes. Eid is for the one whose obedience rises.” (Ibn Rajab)

If you were unable to donate during Ramadan, there’s still time to contribute towards making this an Eid to Remember for the HHUGS families.

“The most beloved of deeds to Allah is making a believer happy.” (at-Tabarani)

Keeping the Spirit of Ramadhan and Eid Alive!

"Every day a person spends in the obedience
of his mawla, having thanked and remembered him, is a day of Eid for him."  (Al-Hasan Al-Basri)

Aswe wave goodbye to another Ramadhan with great sadness, we pray you are able to maintain the beauty of its blessings all year round.  Indeed a sign of our deeds in Ramadhan being accepted is the ability to continue performing them, long after the month is over. After Ramadhan we feel a great sense of accomplishment and feel incredibly energized, but we mustn’t lose heart as the month slips away. With Allah’s help and the intention to continue doing good, we can sustain this feeling by supporting the families throughout the year in a plethora of ways.

Set up a regular donation

Remembering that Allah loves that which is small but consistent, the good will can continue despite Ramadhan being over.

Host a Shawwal Iftar

If you didn’t have time in Ramadhan, why not take the opportunity of the six days of Shawwal to host your own iftar and fundraise for HHUGS at the same time?
